Leaded Glass in the 21st Century
| Leaded glass still alive and kicking. |
|---|
For centuries leaded glass has been employed to create windows. In the past glass technology was limited to producing small sheets of glass. By connecting small pieces of glass within a lead frame, architects and masons were able to integrate large windows into their buildings allowing the interior living spaces to be filled with natural light. Using colours added interest and cast colour into the spaces they illuminated.
