Stained glass not just for churches.

Stained glass just as comfortable in the home
St Margaret

Stained glass has been used for hundreds of years in ecclesiastical settings, depicting the life of Saints, or stories from the bible. Originally the picture windows could relay these stories to the usually illiterate worshippers. As times changed so too did church window design. Glass painting was no longer just for churches and began to be used in homes and public buildings.

Wine and Grapes

Using painting as an additional process with leaded glass can add depth and interest, and as mentioned previously not only in churches. Different Glass uses painting in its wide range of designs and glass working techniques. We can also carry out restoration to painted glass where glass sections have suffered "paint loss" or broken sections need to be replaced.

True Happiness

Different Glass undertakes new commissions for churches, public buildings and private residences, working glass with many processes such as, painting, etching and fusing. Our studio artist is happy to discuss with our clients what can be done to produce a window, door or wall hanging of distinction.
